Focusing is EXHAUSTING!

The last two days have made me realize that when you really spend a lot of time focusing, it's absolutely draining! The last two days, I've been so spent that I couldn't stay awake long enough to blog or read! I've figured out that you only have so much energy for each day, and you need to figure out how to use it. After waking up at 4:45am, working out, going to work for 8 hours, then coming home and working on the "to do" list, there's not much left for anything else. Wednesday when I got home, I was a bum and did absolutely nothing. And last night when I got home last night I was all excited to watch the college football championship, then I sat down on the couch and closed my eyes, next thing I new, they were handing the trophy to the Gators. I had slept through the entire game!

This helps show me that I need to keep some sort of balance in my life, I can only do it all for so many days in a row before my body shuts down!

But this morning I went to gym, and on a whim ended up going into one of those spinning/cycling classes. It was a BLAST! I haven't had such a punishing work out in a very long time! At the end of the hour I was drenched in sweat but I felt great. I know I'll go back to that cycling class, and I might even try some of the other classes that they have at my gym. This should help keep my workouts new and exciting! And if I think I have any chance of keeping my new year's resolution and getting down to 175 lbs, I'll need to keep myself motivated to go to the gym.

On the financial front, I've tried to spend as little money as possible this month. Last month I wasn't able to pay off my entire credit card bill, and had to carry about $500 over to this month. That leaves me enough money to....buy food and pay the bills. So this month I need to cut back as much as possible so that at the end of this month I'll be able to pay off the credit card and start with a clean plate. I'm hoping to do my tax returns in February and get my tax rebate back. That should help a lot! I'll also be getting my profit sharing check at the end of February or beginning of March, and that should help a bit too. After I get some of my stuff sorted out I'm going to start helping Megan and we'll get her loans paid down and get those out of the way. I realize that her loans are her loans, but since we're getting married, we'll be putting everything together and we'll have to deal with it together. Her school loans aren't too big of a deal to me, but it'd be nice to get her car paid off and start paying her insurance and phone bills. Then her parents can start saving for the wedding! Lots of goals......we'll just need to prioritize.

My focus has been a bit off the last couple days at work, but I've been able to get done what I need to get done. So it's been good enough, but not where I'd like it. I need to get back to the intense focus I had earlier this week.

Reading, let's not talk about that. I haven't touched a book in the last 3 days.

The house is in good shape. It's been nice to have stuff organized. Once you get it organized, it's pretty easy to keep it organized.

This weekend should be relaxing, even though I'll miss Megs, I'll get a lot of stuff done.
